Arsenal Stadium, Home of Arsenal football club, is situated at Avenell Road, Highbury, London N5 1BU. Just 15 minutes or so on the underground from Central London.

Arsenal has its own tube station on the Piccadilly tube Line. This tube line runs as far as Heathrow Airport, through Russell Square, Piccadilly Circus, Gloucester Road and Earls Court.

Highbury and Islington tube station is just a twenty minute walk away from the stadium. Finsbury Park tube station is about fifteen minutes walk away from the stadium and the area is served by many buses.

The Stadium itself can be a nightmare for parking, with illegally parked cars being towed away. So if travelling with a car it is recommended to book a hotel with car parking.

The new Arsenal Stadium, accommodating 60,000 fans, moved in 2006, just a few streets away from the old stadium which has been made into 711 luxury apartments.

Accommodation near to Arsenal

It is not essential to stay in a hotel very close to Arsenal as the Piccadilly tube line runs through the West End before arriving at Arsenal. This means that you can enjoy all the attractions of either Kensington or the West End and still travel direct to Arsenal within a few minutes. However there are some cheap hotels near to the football ground and these are detailed on this page. One to note is Tommy Miahs Raj Hotel which although only a 2 star is getting good client reviews and is only a few minutes walk from the Emirates Stadium. Also, check out the Elmwood Hotel in Kings Cross which is only a 6 minute tube ride away from the football ground. The Elmwood Hotel is a 2 star category with good client reviews and from here you can walk to the West End shopping areas. If you are arriving at Luton Airport, you can travel direct to Kings Cross.

Getting to Arsenal by Tube and Rail

Arsenal (on the Piccadilly Line) is the nearest tube station and is only three minutes walk from the stadium. Finsbury Park (Victoria, Piccadilly Lines and Great Northern rail) and Highbury and Islington (Victoria Line, North London Line and Great Northern rail) stations are all a ten minute easy walk.

King's Cross is the closest mainline station and from there you travel to the ground by the Piccadilly Line (Arsenal) or the Victoria Line (Highbury and Islington).

On match days, Holloway Road station will be exit only with pre match eastbound trains non stopping. Drayton Park station is also closed on match days.
