Coopers Row EC3 is located towards the south of the City of London's financial district, close to Tower Hill EC3, the Minories and Fenchurch Street Station. Although a relatively small street compared to the major streets that surround it, Coopers Row is still a significant area of the City. A large fragment of a Roman wall can be found between 8–10 Coopers Row EC3.
Coopers Row is home to the huge Grange City Hotel, located at 8–14 Coopers Row EC3. This hotel, which provides 307 en suite rooms, has excellent facilities including a swimming pool, gym and 24 hour bars. Visitors can experience amazing panoramic views of London from this impressive building. The Koto Japanese restaurant and Lutetia Bar and Brasserie are located here.
Coopers Row leads into Trinity Square at is southern end. Trinity Square is home to exclusive Edwardian townhouses, designed by Sir Edwin Cooper between 1912-1922. Former home of the Port of London Authority, Trinity Square is now the home of various offices and restaurants, including Chez Gerard, located at 14 Trinity Square. This excellent French restaurant is popular with both city workers and tourists. The Green Flag award winning Trinity Square Gardens are also located here and provide a perfect environment in which to relax. Trinity House, headquarters of the Lighthouse Service of England and Wales, stands close to Coopers Row and provides great views across Trinity Square and of the Tower of London.
The Tower of London is situated 100m south of Coopers Row and is an excellent place to visit to gain an insight into the history of London. Other Places of interest along the River Thames, close to Coopers Row include Custom House and Old Billingsgate Market, located on Lower Thames Street EC3. The Monument is located 600m west of Coopers Row on Monument Street EC3 and Fish Street Hill EC3, close to London Bridge. Visitors can climb the 311 steps to the viewing platform here to experience breathtaking views of many London landmarks, including Tower 42, the Swiss Re building (often referred to as the Gherkin) and the distinctive Lloyds Building.
Coopers Row is 300m from the vast Plantation Place office complex. This two building project was completed in 2004 and runs along Fenchurch Street, Eastcheap EC3 and Rood Lane EC3. Built on the site of a former Roman colony, Plantation Place also houses retail outlets and has large roof gardens with excellent views of the London skyline. Another major office complex near Coopers Row is Minster Court, a three building centre designed in the late 1980's, by the GMW Partnership. Minster Court, situated between Mincing Lane EC3 and Mark Lane EC3 is home to Bar Med and Balls Brothers restaurant, as well as the London Underwriting Centre, situated at 3 Minster Court EC3.
Coopers Row is next to an entrance to Fenchurch Street mainline station, which provides services into East London and Essex. Tower Hill Underground Station, on the Circle and District lines, is 50m from Coopers Row, next to Tower Gateway Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station. Commuters can reach Bank Underground from Tower Gateway, where they will find the Bank of England and Bank of England Museum, Mansion House and the exclusive Royal Exchange.
