There are a number of ways to travel into the London EC2 area from Gatwick Airport, such as car, coach or National Rail services. The Gatwick Express rail shuttle service travels into London Victoria Station and trains usually depart from Gatwick Airport every 15 minutes. The journey into Victoria Station usually takes around 30 minutes via the Gatwick Express and tickets can be pre-booked for the convenience of travellers. Liverpool Street and Moorgate Underground stations, both located in the heart of the London EC2 area, can be reached via the Circle (yellow) line from Victoria Underground Station. The Southern rail service also frequently travels into Victoria Station during the day and every hour at night.

Gatwick Airport Station is located next to Gatwick's South Terminal, while the North Terminal can be reached in a few minutes via a complimentary internal rail shuttle service. Passengers from Gatwick Airport can also reach central London via First Capital Connect train services, which travel into Kings Cross Thameslink Station, located 250m from Kings Cross St. Pancras Underground Station, which provides Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Northern line tube services into the EC2 area of the City of London.

Gatwick Airport is also well served by coach companies, providing services 24 hours a day to destinations across Britain. The National Express coach company provides services into Victoria Coach Station from Gatwick Airport, with a journey time of approximately 90 minutes. Victoria Underground Station is located 500m north of Victoria Coach Station, and provides regular tube services into the EC2 area. The number 8 bus route, which also provides a night bus service, travels close to Prince's Street EC2, next to Bank Station, from Victoria Railway Station.

Gatwick Airport, which is linked to the M23 and the A23 London to Brighton Road, is approximately 29 miles from the EC2 area. A typical journey from Gatwick into London EC2 will take around 1 hour 15 minutes by car and drivers should be aware of the Congestion Charge in place between 07.00am-18.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), in certain areas of central London. There is free parking available for motorcycles in designated areas within Gatwick Airport. Gatwick Airport oversees its own taxi service, Checker Cars, which works on a fixed fare system and can be booked prior to arrival at the airport. There are desks for Checker Cars in the arrivals area of North Terminal at Gatwick Airport and close to the South Terminal. Taxis with access for disabled passengers are available at Checker Cars.
