The Earls Court to Gloucester Road area of London is one of the most popular accommodation and tourist areas. It offers many hotels ranging from dump to excellent. In general terms, the area around Gloucester Road is the "better" area. Heading west towards Earls Court the hotels, with a few genuine exceptions, become more budget and "run down". A good indicator is to ask when the hotel was last renovated.
At the superior and deluxe end of the hotel market, notable hotels near to Gloucester Road would include the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum and its smaller sister hotel the Holiday Inn Kensington (beds are a little soft) and both are within 200 metres of Gloucester Road Tube. Just around the corner is Harrington Hall which is well worthy of consideration, as are the Millennium Gloucester and the Millennium Baileys.
