The International London Boat Show 2010 is celebrating 55 years of showcasing the very best in boating. Whether you are a true boating enthusiast or just looking for a fun-packed family day out - with more than 100,000 visitors expected over the 10 day event, if you're coming from outside the capital you'd better get booking your London hotel!

ExCeL London is the perfect location for the London Boat Show being situated in a stunning waterfront location, in the heart of Londons Royal Docks. Theres 3 DLR stations and easy access to the Jubilee Line, making ExCel in easy reach of London hotels. The Jubilee Line is one of the quickest route to ExCeL London and the Boast Show. get off at Canning Town to change onto the DLR (upstairs from the Jubilee Line level - trains normally depart from platform 3) for the quick two-stop journey to Custom House for ExCeL.

And of course the outside docks are ideal to showcase some of the largest and most luxurious boats currently in manufacture. Inside you will be surrounded by more than 1,000 boats in all shapes and size - from powerboats to sailing vessels, ocean-going cruisers to dinghies.

Entertainment is non-stop and centred around the dedicated Show Stage. There's always something going on, from the inspirational stories of true "Boating Heroes" to the explosive "Rock the Boat" live fashion showcase/ explosive dance spectacular! Or perhaps you'd like to see the thrills and spills, the losers and winners with "The Best Bits" of 2009.

In the "Deck Games Zone" there's a chance for everyone, from young ones to young at heart, to have a go at interactive games and events designed to be both fun and educational. There are games designed to test your marine skills, radio-controlled yachting and more in the indoor pool. There is plenty of practical advice too for first-timers and experienced sailors alike. Learn vital skills when out on the water with "Mayday! Mayday!" and get great advice and practical demonstrations from the pros in "Ask the Expert" or the passionate owners in the "Classic Boats" section.

And at the Owners Association area you will find an ideal source of advice if you're looking to buy your first boat or move up to another and are not quite sure what to choose. You can get great advice from experienced and friendly sailors with firsthand knowledge in a salesman-free area. The London Boat Show runs from 8th-17th January 2010.

Opening times are 10am - 7pm (6pm on the final Sunday) and until 9pm on Thursday 14th (late night opening).

Tickets for The London Boat Show 2010 are £13 for adults (advance) or £18 on the gate. Children under 15 go FREE with a paying adult. You can save even more with a 2-day ticket so why not book a cheap London hotel to enjoy a great value weekend?

ExCel London is close to Canary Wharf and within easy reach of some of London's cheapest hotels. Get off at Custom House station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) which is a fast 2-stop journey from Canning Town which is on the Jubilee Tube Line. London Underground tickets are valid on the DLR and ExCel London is in Zone 3.
