Lords Cricket Ground is fondly called "the home of cricket". Owned by the MCC, the current ground has been the home of the MCC since 1814. Its founder Thomas Lord, sold the ground to the Bank of England director, William Ward, for £5,000 in 1825. To this day, Marylebone Cricket Club are the guardian of both the Laws and the Spirit of Cricket.
The impressive ground is situated adjacent to the north west corner of Regents Park which is 3km north of Oxford Street. The best way to reach the venue is by the local St Johns Wood underground station which is a 5 minute walk north of the ground and is serviced by the Jubilee Line. Car parking in the immediate area is almost impossible.
Hotels near to Lords are quite scarce. There is a good hotel with car parking next to the ground which is the Danubius Regents Park. Another option is to stay in the West End close to the tube stations of Baker Street, Bond Street or Green Park enabling you to travel by the Jubilee Line to the cricket within 15 minutes.

The Tours of Lords provide visitors with a chance to go behind the scenes at MCCs historic ground, where they can see many of the most famous sights in world cricket. Each tour of the ground takes about 100 minutes headed by an expert guide. Tour times: Mon-Fri: 12pm & 2pm, Sat & Sun: 10am; 12pm & 2pm
