Juice Bar
Harrys Bar at the Helmsley Hotel in downtown New York was the strong style influence for the juice bar adjacent to the Hotel reception. Wander through the oak panel reception across marble floors and try out the comfortable leather sofas,then check out the original artwork by Vicky White whose client list includes Prince Albert of Monaco, Joely Richardson, Vanessa Redgrave and Ralph Lauren.
Tea, coffee and cool refreshing fruit juices are served in a calm environment away from the bustle of the surrounding streets.
Breakfast
Guests can enjoy a extensive breakfast in the light and spacious restaurant before venturing out to explore the nearby fashionable shopping areas of Knightsbridge, Kensington and Chelsea. Earls Court / South Kensington
The Mayflower Hotel is enviably situated in a prime area for tourists to London, in fact the Earls Court Exhibition Center is less than 5 minutes away. Within a few minutes walk are the stations of Earls Court and Gloucester Road. From here, the Circle and District Line will take you directly and quickly to the key locations of Wimbledon, Victoria, Westminster (London Eye) and the Tower of London in the City. The Piccadilly Line also from both stations will take you to Green Park (Buckingham Palace), Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square (Theatreland), Covent Garden and Kings Cross St Pancras (Eurostar).
A ten minute walk to the north will bring you to High Street Kensington with hundreds of shops and many restaurants. Check out the Wholefoods Market at the Barkers Building, here you can eat great food at reasonable prices 7 days a week. Also in this area is Kensington Palace and Hyde Park.
Ten minutes to the east of the Mayflower is the museum district where you can find the Natural History, Science and V&A museums. Walk for another ten minutes and you will be at Harrods.
Walk fifteen minutes south and you have the Kings Road and Fulham Road with all the restaurants and bars that you would ever need. Another five minutes and after passing the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital you are at the River Thames.
Getting to the Mayflower
From Heathrow Airport catch the Piccadilly Line tube from inside the airport complex direct to Earls Court Station. Take the Exhibition Exit out of the station and turn right. Then the first road on the right will be Trebovir Road.
From Gatwick Airport catch the Gatwick Express Train from inside the terminal direct to Victoria Station. Then change to the District Line heading to Earls Court Station (westbound). Take the Exhibition Exit out of the station and turn right. Then the first road on the right will be Trebovir Road.
From Stansted Airport take Stansted Express train direct to London Liverpool Street Station. Change at Liverpool Street Station for the Underground taking the District Line going towards Earls Court Station. Take the Exhibition Exit out of the station and turn right. Then the first road on the right will be Trebovir Road.
Alternatively (and cheaper) take the National Express coach service to Victoria then change to the District Line heading to Earls Court Station (westbound).
