Montana Hotel London
This central London hotel has been a favourite of ours for many years and has attracted many positive reports from it's guests. Completely refurbished during 1999, this good 3 star hotel comes highly recommended
The Montana is within 3 minutes walk of Gloucester Road Underground Station with it's direct connection to all four Heathrow Airport Terminals. From this station, there is also a direct link to the West End and Theatreland with a journey time of less than 10 minutes to Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Covent Garden. From the same station, it is also possible to directly access High Street Kensington, Knightsbridge (Harrod's), Victoria Station, Earl's Court and Tower Hill.
In the immediate vicinity are some world famous museums - the Victoria & Albert, the Natural History, the Geological and the Science are all less than 5 minutes walk. The Royal Albert Hall in less than 10 minutes away by foot and the nearby Kensington High Street. Harrods can be walked to in under 15 minutes. offers many excellent fashion shops.
There are 55 bedrooms on 4 floors all served by a lift. For the budget minded single traveller, there are a limited number of economy single rooms with shared bathroom (2 bedrooms to each well fitted out bathroom). Otherwise, all bedrooms have a private bathroom with bath and shower combined. Every room offers:

Kettles are available at reception for those wishing to make their own drinks.
The air conditioned public areas are of a high standard and comprise of a Lounge Bar with satellite television and an adjacent sitting area with comfortable couches. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is continental comprising of orange juice, tea, coffee, jams and toasts. A full English Cooked breakfast is available at a small supplement. In the evenings, we recommend that you sample what is acknowledged to be the best Indian Cuisine in Kensington in the Montana's very own air conditioned restaurant "The Light of India".
For the traveller arriving early in the day, the Montana offers noon check-in and prior to this time, your baggage can be stored.
This hotel rivals many more expensive local properties and should be seriously considered, however it does fill up very quickly. The reception staff are extremely helpful and will advise on all aspects of your stay.
